Layrite Matte Cream Review

Layrite Matte Cream is an all around great choice for a light and textured feel that isn't too heavy. If you want something that feels closer to a clay but gives a good shine like most creams do this is something I would recommend for sure. This should come as no surprise because Layrite makes exceptional products every time. For more information read the review below.
What to expect:
  • Shine: The product is a Matte Cream so it does not have a major shine to it but it won't leave you hair looking flat either.
  • Hand Feel: It feels almost like a lotion of some kind and truly earns the name "cream" but don't let that fool you. It holds very well
  • How does it go in? : When you put the cream in your hair you think that it has zero holding power but within a few seconds you will notice how strong it gets. This is really great because it allows the cream to be applied completely to your hair and then it will allow you to work with it.
  • How does it feel in the hair? It has a very similar texture to a clay pomade but it does not stick quite as well. If you like the natural feel and separated look this works great.
  • Will it last throughout the day? Even though the hold is quite good it won't always last through the day especially if you are in the wind a lot. Keep a comb on you and use water to reactivate the cream.
  • How tough is it?: Considering how light it feels you will be amazed at how strong this stuff is. It is not something I would recommend for liberty spikes but it will hold most hairstyles quite well.
  • Can I easily wash it out? You bet!
